This year more than ever I feel mine the slogan STOP THE WORLD… I WANT TO GET OFF!
For a BABY BOOMER like me, everything has become too difficult, complex, ethically embarrassing. The clouds on the horizon (partly already arrived) do not bode well and being optimistic in this situation and at my age is difficult.
I think of my daughter, my teenage granddaughters and I see a dangerous present and future for them, much more difficult than the one the 70s of the last century reserved for me. The values that I have tried to pass on to them are an antidote to so many uglinesses but in a strongly infected society, making an impact to change the direction or even just remaining independent in judgments and choices is a difficult thing.
The noble art of music and its reproduction in High Fidelity within the domestic walls are not exempt from this cultural decline. There are many subjects, devoid of passion and love for music, who row in unison towards the calm waters of a profit without a future.
Hope comes instead from those who, despite everything and everyone, continue with passion their path "in an obstinate and contrary direction" (Fabrizio de André).
Thanks to all our loyal customers, thanks to those who follow us and those who criticize us in a constructive way. Thanks to those who love music.
Happy holidays to all of you.
