MOON, a Korean jazz diva, and Tsuyoshi Yamamoto have released a long-awaited standard vocal album, cut by master musician Toru Kotetsu! A must-listen for audiophiles.
MOON debuted as the vocalist of the Korean jazz pop group Winterplay. She has performed many live shows in Japan and gained popularity. In 2016, she began her solo career. When she released her debut album Kiss Me (2018) from Universal Music, it made a big impact by reaching number one on the iTunes jazz chart in Japan and number one on the pop chart in Hong Kong, beating out Ariana Grande's new album released the same week.
The latest work from this Asian diva is a collaboration with Tsuyoshi Yamamoto, a pianist representing Japan who is immensely popular in Asia, captivating not only jazz fans but also audiophiles. MOON's crystal clear voice soars along with Tsuyoshi Yamamoto's strong touch, which is well known for swing and ballads. The album includes a selection of classics such as "Misty," which is synonymous with Yamamoto, the comfortable swing "Twisted," and the melodic ballad "In the Middle of a Kiss." In addition, the album includes Moon's original "Look to the Moon" (CD exclusive).
This album is a must-listen for listeners who love jazz vocal masterpieces.
