Una nota importante sulle registrazioni DIRECT TO DISC. Il suono di queste registrazioni è più LIVE e REALE rispetto alle altre in quanto gli strumenti e le voci sono stati registrati LIVE in diretta in studio ed il segnale è stato inviato drettamente al sistema di mastering e trasferito in tempo reale sulla lacca incisa dal tornio. Non esiste alcun processo di registrazione su nastro, sia multitraccia che 2 tracce, al fine di massimalizzare il range dinamico ed il rapporto segnale rumore così come preservare la trasparenza ed il realismo del suono (notizie tratte da nota Crystal Clear Records Inc.)

Listening to a Direct to Disc recording is a thrilling experience. When properly done, this process has the potential of providing the very best technical sound that can be achieved, give the limitations of the disc medium. The sound you hear is more alive and real because the instruments and singers have been recorded live with the signal sent straight to the disc mastering system and cut directly onto the master laquer. The entire tape process, both 24 and 2 track, was completely eliminated in order to maximize dynamic range and signal to noise ratio as well as to preserve the clarity and realism of the sound.
